The State of Lithuania is an independent and democratic republic.

The Constitution of Lithuania protects the individual’s inborn rights and freedoms, guarantees the right to freely choose any religion and manifest his or her religion in private or in public, to form political, national or public organisations, and defend his or her rights and freedoms as provided for in the laws.

In the Republic of Lithuania the Governmental power is being implemented on the basis of it’s separation into legislative, executive, and judicial authorities.
